WHAT We Offer
Through our Landowner Benefit Advocates (LBA’s), we will meet with landowners for an introduction meeting to access and review the landowners current property. Our offer will include the following options and more.
- Development of a habitat plan.
- Connection to federal, state and conservative organizations funding options for habitat.
- Bridge funding grants from Habitat One to equalize habitat development vs current use.
- Feed seed and food plot benefits.
- Estate planning funding for qualified landowners.
- Reverse mortgage programs for gifting land to habitat.
- Real Estate agent incentives to coordinate land gifted to habitat.
WHY Habitat One
Our goal and only focus is to create additional wildlife habitat primarily with private landowners. Current habitat funding sources, in most cases, do not meet or exceed the landowners ability to make money on their ground (based on current practices of growing grain, hay or utilizing pasture). Our organization will focus on providing the landowner a value equation that is close to equal or greater than their current practices utilizing state and federal, conservation organization and Habitat One funding.
HOW We Grow
We grow through people like you! We are a grassroots charity so we depend on introductions to other landowners from the landowners we have helped. This is a very important aspect as we are primarily “word of mouth”. We need your assistance in our introductions!
HOW We Are Funded
We are a very simple funding model… private funding. We do not do banquets, raffles, or beg the government for money, we are simply seeking donations from conservation minded corporations and individuals that feel that what we are doing makes sense and their money is being spent wisely. Our grass roots strategy depends on recommendations and introductions from people with the same vision as well as people that have benefited from Habitat One efforts. Pending 501c3 charity 2025.
Phases of Benefit Implementation
Introduction Meeting: Our regional LBA meets with the landowner and reviews property and discusses landowner goals for their ground.
Habitat Plan Proposal: Habitat One will come back to the landowner with a proposed plan with preliminary assessments for that given acreage.
Funding verification of plan: Habitat One coordinates funding sources to get the best value proposition to the landowner based on goal assessments.
Contract and implementation: Upon final agreement of the given plan.
Ongoing status updates one to two times per year.
